Project Engineer

Our client, one of the UK’s leading Electrical & Mechanical services companies, require addtional Project Engineers for ongoing projects in Berkshire, you will have worked in similar roles on major projects.
KEY TASKS
· To manage and control your labour team effectively, liaising with Human Resources
when necessary.
· To plan and programme your contract in an efficient and timely
manner.
· To attend site/client meetings as and when required.
· To liaise with Local
Authority/Fire Department/Utilities as and when required.
· To order materials, ensuring
best prices are obtained, and chase up goods to ensure that they are received in
a timely manner.
· To produce quotations/letters as and when required, liaising with your Co-ordinator.
· To design, calculate and produce drawings for contracts as and when required.
·
To carry out site reviews as and when required.
· To control the pricing and variations
of your projects, ensuring that invoices/interim applications for payment are produced
accurately and on time.
· To review your projects on a regular basis to ensure they are operating profitably.
· To liaise with other in-house teams that may be involved with the project.
· To
liaise with the client to agree the final account of the project.
· To ensure all
signed timesheets appertaining to your team are checked and authorised timeously.
· To ensure the effective control of labour on your project.
· To ensure effective
control of vehicles on your project.
· To liaise with Human Resources to ensure training
is carried out as and when required.
· To liaise with Quality Manager to ensure Health
& Safety issues are reported and dealt with promptly.
· To attend Project Engineers
meetings as and when required.
· To build up a relationship with your clients and
maintain regular contact to ensure that you are aware of any new project that might
be planned.
· To tender projects as and when required ensuring liaison with Estimating Department.
· To carry out presentations for tendered projects as and when required.
OTHER TASKS
The jobholder will also be responsible for any other relevant and reasonable tasks as may be requested by the General Manager.
